Sure you could take a science class or a class on comics but why not combine them both at the Bradbury Science Museum?
Join 7000 BC and the Bradbury Science Museum as we explore the history and use of science in comics in this fast-paced, hands-on lecture, tour, and workshop! We'll look at how the visual language of comic books has tackled everything from explanations of how Superman flies to the development of the Manhattan Project. Then, using topics explored in an exclusive tour of the Bradbury led by Museum Director Linda Deck, we'll learn techniques of the comics medium and create science-based comics of our own.
The lecture is limited to 64 registrations and the full lecture, Museum tour, and workshop is limited to only 15 participants.
Profits from this event will benefit the educational outreach of the Bradbury Science Museum Association, supporting science education in the region.Lecture and tour: Observe, hypothesize, and make comics?
